The student’s commitment
The student oath connects these principles with respect, responsible use of skills, freedom, justice and a more peaceful world.
Respect in practice
A bow is a gesture of mutual respect. The ITF protocol describes conduct in the dojang, at gradings and at events. Beginners can ask their instructor to explain greetings, lining up and the terms used in class.
Courtesy also means making room for questions. Tell your instructor when you do not understand an exercise or need help.
