A name for the art
11 April is recognised by ITF as the date on which the name Taekwon-Do was approved.
- 1966
An international federation
On 22 March, General Choi Hong Hi established ITF with associations from nine countries.
- 1972
Headquarters in Canada
The ITF headquarters moved to Toronto.
- 1974
The first world championship
Montreal hosted the first ITF World Championships.
- 1979
European cooperation
The All Europe Taekwon-Do Federation was created.
- 1985
Headquarters in Vienna
The international headquarters moved to Austria.
